Project Role: Creative Director, 3D & 2D Motion Designer

For this project, I took on the roles of Creative Director, 3D Motion Designer, and 2D Motion Designer, managing everything from initial concept and storyboarding to final animation. The goal was to showcase a new rangefinder available in multiple colors, balancing a semi-luxury aesthetic with a fun and playful tone, inspired by Apple-style commercials. The client wanted to highlight key tech features while also emphasizing the beauty of the product's color variations.

Challenges & Solutions

One of the main challenges was finding the right balance between luxury and playfulness, ensuring the product felt high-end while still engaging and dynamic. Another challenge was creating realistic paint drips in Cinema 4D, which required precise simulations to achieve an organic and visually appealing effect.

To accomplish this, I utilized X-Particles for fluid simulations, carefully crafting the paint dynamics to achieve a smooth, realistic flow that complemented the product’s sleek design. Through a combination of refined lighting, materials, and animation techniques, I successfully delivered a high-quality, visually engaging final piece that met the client’s vision.
